STAFF VACANCIES

We currently have three staff vacancies at Orchard Park.  We are looking for a Teacher to join our team, an HLTA to join our EYFS and KS1 team and a Teaching Assistant.

 

HLTA

 

We are looking for a HLTA to join our EYFS and KS1 team.  We are looking for a dedicated and skilled practitioner to support teaching and learning for our youngest pupils.  We are looking for a level two/three practitioner who will teach alongside the EYFS and KS1 class teachers, providing targeted group support, PPA provision and 1st day sickness and meeting cover.  The role will include completing the HLTA qualification and becoming the speech and language expert.  

 

The post will include:

 

a   Planning and preparing learning activities/lessons for pupils alongside the class teacher.

b   Delivering lessons to pupils, in line with the Orchard Park Teaching Framework.

c   Assessing the development, progress and attainment of pupils.

d   Reporting on the development, progress and attainment of pupils.

 

You will need:

 

a   Experience of teaching individual, group and whole class activities in EYFS and KS1.

b   Excellent behaviour management.

c   An ability to complete a HLTA training course including the Maths and English test (if necessary).

d   A developing understanding of the National Curriculum for KS1.

e   An interest in speech and language development.

d  Some understanding and interest in the characteristics of learning as specified in Development     Matters.

Teaching Assistant

We are looking for someone who is committed to providing and supporting high quality teaching and learning opportunities across all curriculum areas across the school.  The role will include targeted support within a whole class setting, the delivery of interventions within and outside of the classroom as well as some 1:1 work.  Support will include lunchtime cover, assisting in the provision of high quality play and learning opportunities.  A current Teaching Assistant says this about the role:

Hours:  8:45 to 3:15 pm or part time 8:45 am to 1:15 pm or 12:00 pm - 3:15 pm, term time only

Salary:  SCP 5 £18,795 (pro rata £14,393.19)
