Welcome to Caterpillars
Welcome to Caterpillars class! Our class is the first step into Orchard Park Primary School. Our youngest children focus on personal, social and emotional development, and communication and language development. Learning to play alongside other children, understanding our feelings and emotions and those of others, is a key skill in nursery. Outdoor learning is very important to us in Caterpillars class. Daily challenges in our designated nursery garden, as well as welly walks to explore the school field, promote healthy lifestyles for children. Sensory and mark making activities provide opportunities to develop the necessary fine motor skills to ensure that children are ready for writing. We cover a wide range of experiences for the nursery children based on our key topics as well as building on the individual interests and fascinations of the children.
