Performance & Assessment

Assessment at Orchard Park

Assessment is a continuous process integral to teaching and learning at Orchard Park. It allows teachers to gain knowledge of their pupils’ achievements, needs and areas for development; creating a personalised curriculum for all pupils.

At Orchard Park we assess pupils through a range of different sources to ensure that we monitor attainment and progress effectively to ensure all pupils make progress from their starting points. For more information on how we carry out assessments please see our current assessment policy.

Performance Results

At key points through primary school pupils are assessed against national expectations through a range of standardised assessments. These statutory tests are set by the DfE and are taken by all primary aged children nationally. They measure the achievement of our pupils in comparison to other pupils across the country. It also provides information on how the school is performing in comparison to other schools nationally.

At Orchard Park, we are immensely proud of our children’s progress and achievements during their time at our school. Please see below for our latest published performance results from 2018-2019.

Performance data from previous years can be found on the DfE website https://www.compare-school-performance.service.gov.uk/school/134979/orchard-park-community-primary-school/primary Link to DfE website for previous performance data?

Please note as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic children did not sit statutory assessments in the 2019/20 or 20/21 academic year
