The school day begins at 8.45am. No child should arrive at school before 8.45am. A senior member of staff is always on the playground at the start of the day. Teachers stand by their classroom door or their outside area to welcome them in at the start of the day. The Year 6 class teacher should stand by the trim trail. Nursery parents should enter via the Nursery’s outside area. Children can enter their classroom from 8.45am where start of the day activities (SODA) are available for them, these activities reinforce and support class based learning. The school day ends at 3.20pm. Children not collected on time will be taken to the school office and will need to be picked up from there.
No ball games are allowed in the playground before or after school and Children must also dismount bikes and scooters to enable the school community to enter the school site safely. Parents are welcome to meet with teachers for brief conversations between 8.45am and 9.00am, in accordance with our open-door policy. Children with a packed lunch should place their lunch boxes in the designated area.
